Hong Kong Major Museums
Hong Kong museums are often overlooked by visitors who frequently prefer to spend their time outdoors, admiring the modern high-rises, wondering around Hong Kong’s shopping malls, eating or simply taking it easy after a big night out in Lang Kai Fong or Wan Chai.
The museums in Hong Kong however are a wonderful way of not only getting to know the city, and in fact a good portion of China, but also offer a welcome respite from those hot, humid Hong Kong summer days. Entrance fees are very inexpensive, the spaces are large and cool and they are a great way to entertain children, and adults alike, in Hong Kong.
Although there are numerous smaller, special interest museums scattered throughout the city, the seven major Hong Kong Museums are listed here below.
Most museums offer free entrance on a Wednesday. Please check each museum’s site for specific opening times and special exhibitions by clicking on the below links.
